Bis zur Wiederherstellung der Monarchie wohnte King Charles II. hier mit seinen Br\u00fcdern James, Herzog von York, und Henry, Herzog von Gloucester.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Alle drei waren Mitglieder der Br\u00fcgger Bogensch\u00fctzengilden der Heiligen Barbara, des Heiligen Georg und des Heiligen Sebastian. Der britische Monarch gr\u00fcndete hier auch das erste Regiment Garde te Voet, die sp\u00e4teren <strong>Grenadiergarden<\/strong> (1656) und die <strong>Leibgarde<\/strong> (1658). Diese waren als Leibgarde zur Verteidigung der Niederlande gegen Frankreich im Franz\u00f6sisch-Spanischen Krieg gedacht.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">King Charles II. liebte Flandern und Br\u00fcgge im Besonderen. Jahrhundert lebten in diesem Haus mehrere prominente Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten. Der Name bezieht sich m\u00f6glicherweise auf Robrecht van Cassel, Herr der Gegend um den Casselbergh (Franz\u00f6sisch-Flandern). Der Hauptbewohner des Hauses war der englische Monarch King Charles II. w\u00e4hrend seines Exils (1656-1659).<\/p>\n<p>Danach wurde es von der Familie van Caloen und Jean-Baptiste de B\u00e9thune und seiner Frau Emilie van Outryve d&#8217;Ydewalle bewohnt. Im Jahr 1922 wurde das Haus von der Stadt Br\u00fcgge gekauft, die es zu B\u00fcros umbaute.<\/p>\n<p>Seit 1959 befanden sich die Geb\u00e4ude \u201eHuis Casselbergh\u201c, die \u201eZeven Torens\u201c und \u201e&#8217;t Fransche Schild\u2018 im Besitz der Regierung, und gro\u00dfe Teile des Geb\u00e4udes verfielen aufgrund von Leerstand.<\/p>\n<p>Das Grand Hotel Casselbergh wurde Ende 2009 er\u00f6ffnet. Dies nach einer Restaurierung von mehr als zwei Jahren. Es wurde wahrscheinlich im 13. Jahrhundert zusammen mit dem Haus Casselbergh erbaut. Die ber\u00fchmtesten Bewohner dieses Hauses waren Juan Lopez Gallo und seine Frau Catherine Pardo. Juan Lopez Gallo war der Gesch\u00e4ftstr\u00e4ger des spanischen K\u00f6nigs Philipp II.<\/p>\n<p>Dar\u00fcber hinaus ist das Haus &#8222;De Zeven Torens&#8220; auch auf dem Gem\u00e4lde &#8222;De zeven wonderen van Brugge&#8220; von Pieter I. Claeissens aus dem 16. Jahrhundert zu sehen.
