FRONT OFFICE EMPLOYEE
The front office employee is the face of the hotel. You are responsible to offer the guests a warm welcome during their stay, from their arrival to their departure. You complete the necessary formalities, provide information, answer phone calls and perform administrative duties.
Tasks
- Welcome the guests upon their arrival
- Complete the administrative formalities related to their stay
- Receive payments for guest accounts, both at the time of registration and at the checkout.
- Maintaining the shift cash register, correct closing of the register and processing the shift receipts.
- Cash and currency exchange for guests.
- Key delivery and management of the luggage.
- Post various costs.
- Concierge duties: informing guests about hotel facilities, local attractions, restaurant suggestions & reservations.
- Telephony: handling incoming calls, transferring to the right conversation partner.
- First-line complaint handling.
- Correspondence: booking reservations, answering emails.
- Handling mail
Profile
- Bachelor degree in hospitality or assimilated by experience
- Fluent Dutch, French and English both orally and in writing. Other languages are an added value
- Flexibility in terms of timetables Variable work schedule,
38-hour week, 5-day week
Weekend work (1 weekend out of 3 at home)
Shifting (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, 4:00 PM to 12:00 PM) - Very accurate with an eye for detail

- Stress resistance: being able to work under pressure, checking in or out of several guests in a short period of time
- Experience is a plus, but motivated school-leavers are also eligible
- Knowledge of Winner Hotel Software & Cubilis is an added value but not a necessity
- Team-player within the department, the hotel and the group
- Responsibility & being able to work independently
